Prison Break Star Wentworth Miller Writes On His Struggles with Depression & How He Overcame Suicidal Thoughts

Many do not know actor Wentworth Miller popularly known for his role in hit TV series Prison Break has had a history battling depression. The 43-year-old revealed this on Facebook while reacting to a meme that showed his before and after pics. He also explained how he overcame suicidal thoughts he used to have. This is not the first time Wentworth has written on his mental health issues. In September 2015, he wrote a long post on Facebook about how ‘routine is important to him’. see his post below

“Today I found myself the subject of an Internet meme. Not for the first time.” he wrote This one, however, stands out from the rest. In 2010, semi-retired from acting, I was keeping a low-profile for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I was suicidal. This is a subject I’ve since written about, spoken about, shared about. But at the time I suffered in silence. As so many do. The extent of my struggle known to very, very few. Ashamed and in pain, I considered myself damaged goods. And the voices in my head urged me down the path to self-destruction. Not for the first time. I’ve struggled with depression since childhood. It’s a battle that’s cost me time, opportunities, relationships, and a thousand sleepless nights. In 2010, at the lowest point in my adult life, I was looking everywhere for relief/comfort/distraction. And I turned to food. It could have been anything. Drugs. Alcohol. Sex. But eating became the one thing I could look forward to. Count on to get me through. There were stretches when the highlight of my week was a favorite meal and a new episode of TOP CHEF. Sometimes that was enough. Had to be. And I put on weight. Big f–king deal. One day, out for a hike in Los Angeles with a friend, we crossed paths with a film crew shooting a reality show. Unbeknownst to me, paparazzi were circling. They took my picture, and the photos were published alongside images of me from another time in my career. “Hunk To Chunk.” “Fit To Flab.” Etc. My mother has one of those “friends” who’s always the first to bring you bad news. They clipped one of these articles from a popular national magazine and mailed it to her. She called me, concerned. In 2010, fighting for my mental health, it was the last thing I needed. Long story short, I survived. So do those pictures. I’m glad. Now, when I see that image of me in my red t-shirt, a rare smile on my face, I am reminded of my struggle. My endurance and my perseverance in the face of all kinds of demons. Some within. Some without. Like a dandelion up through the pavement, I persist. Anyway. Still. Despite. The first time I saw this meme pop up in my social media feed, I have to admit, it hurt to breathe. But as with everything in life, I get to assign meaning. And the meaning I assign to this/my image is Strength. Healing. Forgiveness. Of myself and others. School Proprietor Gets 10-year Jail term for raping his 10-year old Pupil

A school proprietor Babatunde Ibitoye has been sentenced to serve a 10-year jail term for raping a 10-year old pupil of his school in 2013. Justice Toyin Abodunde of an Ado Ekiti High court delivered the judgment last Tuesday, saying she agrees with the evidence and has been able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the accused sexually abused the girl. The judge said, “The fact that the defendant was caught pants down was suffice to prove that the accused person committed the offence contrary to section 31(c)of the Ekiti State Child Rights Law 2013 and he is hereby sentenced to ten years imprisonment without option of fine.” Babatunde is the owner of God’s Grace Nursery and Primary School at Fayemi Market, Agric Olope Area, Ajilosun in Ado Ekiti. He was said to have committed the offence on June 10th, 2013.

A Californian man has been arrested for killing Chinese herbalist, his wife and child.

County sheriff's deputies who went to check on the welfare of 57-year-old Dr. Weidong "Henry" Han on Wednesday found his body, the body of his 29-year-old wife, Huijie "Jenni" Yu, and the couple's 5-year-old daughter, Emily Han, in the family's multimillion-dollar home on the outskirts of Santa Barbara. They had been shot in the head and their bodies had been found wrapped in plastic and duct-taped in the garage, authorities said. A loaded gun and property belonging to one of the victims was found inside the car Haobsh was driving during his arrest. The two men were recently involved in a business deal but nobody knows why the family was really killed because Haobsh isn't been cooperative with the police and it's not known if he has a lawyer. The killings shook Santa Barbara, where Han was a popular figure. He had owned and operated the Santa Barbara Herb Clinic since 1991, according to the clinic's website. Public records show he is a licensed acupuncturist. A biography on his website says he earned degrees in Oriental and Western medicine from a Beijing university in 1982, graduating at the top of his class. He moved to the U.S. a few years later to study psychology. Han came from a family of Chinese doctors and provided traditional treatments including acupuncture, acupressure and herbal formulas from an on-site Chinese pharmacy. Source: AP

Congolese President wins 3rd Term in Office after already spending 32 years

The Republic of Congo has concluded its ballot count for the presidential elections and has announced the incumbent president, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who has spent 32 years in office, as the winner. This announcement was made by the Interior Minister, Raymond Zephyrin Mboulou, on national television on Thursday, where he stated that the president led the polls with 60 percent in the first round, while the next candidate, Guy Brice Kolelas, had 15 percent of the votes and General Marie Michel Mokokocame third with a little less than 14 percent. According to ‘The Guardian’, the president’s opponents expressed their concern on the authenticity of the results and rejected them, saying there was “massive fraud” and calling for a recount. The elections were held under an imposed communications blackout by governmental authorities to prevent opposition candidates from publishing “illegal results” and would likely remain, according to a government source, until after the official results. Vivien Manangou, Kolelas’ spokesman, said government forces had stormed the candidate’s campaign offices on Tuesday, hurling tear gas canisters and causing a stampede. There was also said to be heavy police and military presence in places where there was opposition stronghold. This is the 72-year-old’s third term in office and he has been ruling the country since 1979, except for five years when he away on exile in Paris from 1992 to 1997.

Kanye West decided to make use of the ever present photographers on Tuesday- by getting them to give him a lift.

The star was spotted outside a gym and was being questioned as usual by photographers and was spotted staring at his phone wondering where his Uber was, when the videographer offered him a lift and Kanye accepted and declared

I don't need Uber anymore,' 'I just have the paps take me where I want to go!''I'll ride with you then,' he added. 'come on, let's go!'  

Kim was later seen driving out of the gym on her own in her Range Rover, obviously too busy to give her hubby a ride.
